Peel Me

Hamilton Fringe Iteration

Hamilton Fringe Festival

July 20-30 2023

A fortune cookie and a grapefruit sit on a stage, which is the first to crack? This newly developed work, Peel Me asks how shame and joy entangle as we grow from child to adult. It explores what happens when play goes too far, and wonders how we can indulge in mess. Using food and movement to distill both interpersonal and cultural relationships, we invite you to join us on this sensorial journey. Come play with your food.

This early version of Peel Me served as performance research, with performers diving into tasks of trust, play, and duration. This task-based work evolved through its run at the Hamilton Fringe Festival and served as essential research into the world of Peel Me going forward.
